What We Talk About When We Talk About Love by Raymond Carver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Who am I to review Raymond Carver. He’s one of the great masters. If you haven’t read him, you should. Very sparse in that particularly American way, which I think might just mean that he was obsessed with Hemingway, which, you know, probably for good reason.
Maybe a review of this collection might be: Great stories aren’t written; they’re cut out of the living flesh of mediocre stories.
